The Final Blog - Perranporth Beach Mission 2014
So this is the final blog for this year's Beach Mission. We finished over a week ago but I wanted to wait for things to settle before I wrote the final blog for your prayers. We have so much to be thankful for:
-a faithful, servant hearted team
-amazing family celebration on the Friday evening
-a wonderful shared tea and cake up at the school
-a fast and effective pack down
-for the school - such a great base for the team
- for a family who are really close to becoming Christians and who are planning to go the church
- for the messy games which was a highlight for many children
- the team time praying session for all the children and adults who came to mission
- for the age group parties
- for all the Bibles given out to children and young people
- for two of the team who were baptized yesterday - both came to the mission as children :0)
Please thank our heavenly Father who could have done all this without any of our help for the priviledge it was to be part of His plan for Perranporth this year.
Thank you for all your prayers while we were on mission and for all those from now on. We are so grateful for your faithfulness to the mission. We are already excited for what God has planned for next year.
Here are some prayer points for your future prayers for Perranporth.
- that the churches in Perranporth will make good contacts with the families who have attended 360 events
- God contiues to work in the lives of those who attended
- that the children will continue to search for God
- for all the churches in Perranporth
- that the team will keep in contact with the children and young people
- that the team will not suffer from post-mission blues
- that the team will be spiritually upheld after giving out for the Lord's glory - the devil isn't going like it!!
Here is a link of a video that one of the team, Emily put together. I hope this too will aid your prayers.

Sun is shining - the weather is sweet - God is good in everyway
This morning I went to a women's prayer group that the Christian women of Perranporth attend to pray for the village. It is a really powerful-Spirit filled group. God's Spirit was with us and we all went away knowing that there is power in the name of Jesus that can break every chain.
We have had a bought of sore throats and general tiredness amongst the team, so it would be good to pray for re-energising, new enthusiasm and excitement so that those of us who are not feeling under the weather can, through Jesus help to carry those that are. If you have any encouraging verses, please send them to me at admin@perranporth.org.
Yesterday some of us had really good God conversations with some of the locals of Perranporth, some were parents, some were business owners. Please pray God will bless these conversations and that they will come back to us with further questions or attend other events so that we can show them more of God's unconditional love for them.
Tonight is 'Open-Mic Night' at St Michael's Hall. Please pray for a good attendance to this event and that we may be a good witness to Jesus in the conversations we have. May we display Christlikeness to all who look on.
Please also pray of the holidaymakers on the beach who are listening to what's going on on the Inner Green and wondering why people would bother. We have had some opposition on Facebook to the Morning Show, but we are thankful that God is calling these people back to Him and asking them to take notice of His Word. Please may we will be the sweet fragrance of Jesus to all, locals and holidaymakers alike.
Finally we ask God's blessing on all the children's work going on. May the leaders be faithful to God's Word and know that they don't need to add anything or take anything away to make it more attractive to the Young People. There is power in the name of Jesus - end of!
Thank you for your continued prayers - it is a blessing to us all that you are praying for us here in Perranporth, doing God's Mission for His People. Bless you :0)

Week 2 - This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me."
1. Fight the good fight
2. Focus on the finish line
3. Keep the faith
This is a challenge for all of us, as we go about our daily lives.
I thought I'd fill this blog with photos to help us all pray through what God has been doing and what He will do. I hope you enjoy them.

Please continue to pray for James Ellin - mission leader. He's still not back to full health. God is healing him gradually one day at a time. There are a number of team who are feeling borderline unwell. We are hoping God will restore their energy and not allow their sore throats, tiredness get the better of them.
We have twelve new team members this week. May God give them all they need to join in with what's already happened and may they be ready to take the steps of faith required of them this coming week.
The forecast for this week doesn't look good, but we know God has a plan whatever the weather. May the team not be disheartened if it doesn't quite turn out as expected and may we all love God first and follow His leading rather than be dictated too by the weather.
Thank you for your continued prayers - more on Wednesday (if not before). ;0)
