Week 2 - This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me."

Hello again - It's week 2 and we had a massive blast of God's love from Matt Timms this morning. He spoke about 2 Timothy 4 and we were given three challenges for the rest of the mission:

1. Fight the good fight
2. Focus on the finish line
3. Keep the faith

This is a challenge for all of us, as we go about our daily lives.

I thought I'd fill this blog with photos to help us all pray through what God has been doing and what He will do. I hope you enjoy them.

The view from Chapel Rock - let's pray for the holiday makers
Please pray for the team as they explain God's Word to the children and have fun while doing it.
Pray there will be a massive harvest after the conversations started at the Skate Comp.
Hopefully I can get a few more pictures in. These are of the afternoon activities and the gazebo. Please pray for these events too. Great conversations with parents and adult have been had a both.

Please continue to pray for James Ellin - mission leader. He's still not back to full health. God is healing him gradually one day at a time. There are a number of team who are feeling borderline unwell. We are hoping God will restore their energy and not allow their sore throats, tiredness get the better of them.

We have twelve new team members this week. May God give them all they need to join in with what's already happened and may they be ready to take the steps of faith required of them this coming week.

The forecast for this week doesn't look good, but we know God has a plan whatever the weather. May the team not be disheartened if it doesn't quite turn out as expected and may we all love God first and follow His leading rather than be dictated too by the weather.

Thank you for your continued prayers - more on Wednesday (if not before). ;0)

  1. Really sorry to hear that James isn't well. Praying for him and all of the team, that God will give you strength for this second week and lots of opportunities to share God's love. Clare @ SU
